Dr. G. P. Subash is a distinguished Mechanical Engineer, technology leader, academician, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience spanning research, industry, and innovation management. Guided by the philosophy “The best way to predict the future is to create it,” he has consistently worked at the intersection of sustainable technology, industrial application, and strategic collaboration.
Born in the small hamlet of Ponnai in Vellore District, Tamil Nadu, Dr. Subash’s professional journey reflects a strong foundation built through public education and academic excellence. He is a distinguished Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Madras and holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), one of India’s foremost centers of technological research and innovation.
Dr. Subash specializes in the development, optimization, and commercialization of low-carbon and alternative fuel technologies. His expertise includes hydrogen fuel technology, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), biodiesel and ethanol with a strong focus on reducing carbon emissions and enabling the transition away from conventional fossil fuels. His work emphasizes scalable, industry-ready solutions that align with global sustainability goals and regulatory frameworks.
In his professional career, Dr. Subash has held key leadership and technical roles in prominent organizations such as Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Mahindra Research Valley, where he contributed to strategic R&D initiatives, technology deployment, and innovation-led business growth. Earlier, as a Senior Scientist at the Industrial Research & Development unit of IIT Delhi, he played a pivotal role in managing high-impact research and development projects related to alternative fuels, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial implementation.
A strong advocate of global collaboration, Dr. Subash has led and facilitated technology partnerships with leading industries and research institutions in Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, focusing on advanced research, technology transfer, and commercialization pathways. His ability to work across international ecosystems has strengthened innovation outcomes and accelerated adoption of sustainable energy solutions.
Dr. Subash is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, industry forums, workshops, and policy discussions, where he shares insights on clean energy transitions, sustainable mobility, and future-ready fuel technologies.
